Question Thunderbird won't forward

Suddenly I can't reply or forward messages in Thunderbird.
I am running CentOS 6.5. I can send original email and receive
email so the server settings are OK. MY ISP and mail provider
is Verizon. Thunderbird just hangs trying to send and when
I abort is says to check my mail server settigs. I also use
Thunderbird on an iMac with no problems and gmail works fine in
CentOS. Any suggestions?

Yes, the mail server settings are the same for Thunderbird on the Mac and the Linux
box. The mac works fine. Also I mentioned that I can send mail. If the outgoing
setting was wrong this would not be possible. I have Thunderbird version 24.8.0
and was updated not long ago.

Question Error console

Have you taken a look at the "error console" of Thunderbird to have a finer explanation?

Problem fixed. I had the security setting wrong on both
incoming and outgoing mail.
