Thunderbird (mozilla mail client) problem on linux - can't open libXft.so.2
I'm trying to install thunderbird (standalone mozilla mail client) on my linux system. The distro I use is Ark Linux (Red Hat-type config I think). After I download and unpack the tar.bz file, I cd to the directory and as root user I run "./thunderbird". What the console gives me is this -
"nsNativeComponentLoader: SelfRegisterDll(libgfx_gtk.so) Load Failed with error: libXft.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory" I'm new to linux, although I like it a lot, but I don't have an idea how to fix this. Thoughts? thanks, William |
