Thunderbird mail setup


i would like to use thunderbird mail client but i dont know how to set it up

can someone help

note:i am using a yahoo mail account


ex: example@yahoo.com

http://kb.mozillazine.org/Getting_st...th_Thunderbird. You'll also need the relevant settings from Yahoo! If you log in to your account there, you should be able to find help on what the settings are.

Yahoo mail is web-based. You can only use Thunderbird for POP email accounts, AFAIK. There are things like fetchyahoo that may help you.

Doesn't Yahoo! have POP access though? They definitely used to.

Not that I know of. There may be an option for POP access if you buy an account, but AFAIK, the free one doesn't offer it.
