Thunderbird in KDE, over NX, randomly deletes mail

The first time this happened, I didn't quite believe it, and thought I might have hit the "delete" button on my laptop, by mistake. But, since then, it's happened too many times to be an "accident", plus it's happened when the NX window is NOT in focus.

From my Winblows laptop, I start a KDE session, using NX. Within that session, I start a copy of Thunderbird. Then, at random times, that I've not been able to correlate, the mail item "highlighted" will be deleted. This has happened in the Inbox, where the mail then appears in the Trash, and also once, when I left it in the Trash view, where items were deleted permanently.

I've turned off the automatic "delete Trash at close", to safeguard my saved mail for the time being, as I think I lost some mail before I realised what was going on.

Has anyone ever seen anything like this happen before, and where would I even start, trying to track down the cause.

Cheers.

OK, an update. It's not just Thunderbird, as after my original post, I closed it.

Just now, I went back to the session, on top of my Dolphin window, there's a pop-up: "Do you really want to move this item to the trash?".

So, it looks like a random "delete" is being sent to whatever item has focus. In the past, it had always been Thunderbird, because that's where I leave it, for most of the working day.

Thoughts.

Cheers.
