Thunderbird import mail in .csv format

The computer died and we have no access to the original email program but I have exported them to a .csv file.

How do I import mail in .csv format to Thunderbird?

Mail itself as csv ?. Address book/contacts I would expect, but not mail.
Perhaps you could be a little less terse.

Do you have the original data (files/directory structure) even if not the program itself ?. What client was it ?.
Thunderbird is pretty flexible - I managed to get it to directly import mail that Evolution refused to acknowledge even existed anymore.

Terse? How can you be terse in text? I was to the point is all thanks anyway.

I have the hard drive intact and can actually boot into safemode and run outlook and export anything I want but cant get thunderbird to import it, either .pst or .csv

That might help, appears to be windows only sadly but could be worth trying under wine
