Thunderbird Folder Settings..

Well, i got all my email into Thunderbird (from OE), but I cant seem to get the folders to arrange as I had them in OE. thunderbird has this "Local Folders" deal, that when I delete it (from the .thunderbird/profile/mail directory) it just comes back on load..
I also have an annoying sent items, inbox, trash, drafts, etc folder for each of my accounts...
With 5 accounts, its a bit annoying to have 40 some folders. All I would like to have is an inbox for each, and then one common sent/trash/drafts box (one of each).

Is there any way to do this? Or is it time to switch clients already?

I currently read 9 different emailings that all come to 1 inbox. I use message filters to seperate them out and corrolate them.

Do all yours come to the same inbox?
