Thunderbird deletes previous day's mail on boot up

When I boot up Thunderbird, you can momentarily see the mail from the previous day then BANG, they are all deleted. There's no sign of them in the deleted mail folder, they are just purged from the program. I can;t see I have ticked a "Delete previously received message" option!

Anyone seen this, or know what on earth it could be? I have installed TB a zillion times before and never seen this behaviour!

Thanks.

Take a look at the settings for Disk Space. I have mine set to not delete any messages. There are fields there you can adjust to delete 'All but the last' xxxx messages. There is also an option to delete messages older than x days as well.

Just a thought...

Thanks, Cliff. This was set to not delete. Was one of the first things I tried!
