Thunderbird button falls asleep!?

Happened once before and then it worked again.

When I hit the "Get Mail" button, nothing happens. When I select the "Get Mail" arrow and actually select Get All Mail from the menu, then it checks for mail. But it doesn't do it just with the button. I notice also that when it's behaving like this, the timed checking doesn't work (though it's selected in preferences). I really don't know what I did to cause it or if it's just a random thing.

On another weird note, I have Celestia. When I run it, I can't activate any of Bookmark buttons. Pressing them doesn't do anything. So far it just seems those buttons on those two programs.

Thought it might be something with video driver, but no. Rebooted a couple of times and that's not it either.

Very strange. Anyone seen this and know what's going on and how to fix it?

Thanks.
Mark
