I was trying just to add a small gif image to my signature in thunderbird. However it will not send the email.

After clicking send message the progress bar gets stuck on "adding gif" . I have now tried to create it as a html signature but it still stalls on adding gif. Is there a best method for graphic signatures in Thunderbird?

You can try to specify the path to the image as a URL, e.g.
