Thunderbird 1.5 loses my profile folder settings

Hi,

I've got a problem with Thunderbird 1.5.0.2 on Mandriva Linux 2006 with Gnome 2.10.

I've copied my TB profile folder, which before I only used under Linux, from a NTFS partition to a FAT32 partition shared between Windows and Linux. Then I pointed Linux TB profile manage to the profile folder and I can read it without problem.

However, if I close and restart TB it asks again which profile I want to use and has lost all settings about the profile folder.

I don't know if that matters but I installed TB through a tarball rather than the rpm, because I couldn't find rpm on urpmi.

Can anybody help?
Thanks
Lenni

Well Thunderbird stores its profile location information in /home/user/.thunderbird/profiles.ini You specify the path of the profiles you want to use there. My guess is that this file has incorrect information in it.
