This is wierd.... ( Xandros)

.
.
Systems' getting full (866 Pentium - 128MB - fd0, cd0 -0, no burner - Xandros 1.0 updated)

So I bought a new burner - 52x24x52 Pacific Digital

I was having problems w XRoast, which I never liked in the first place, so I decided to install another burning .pgm

Low and behold - Nero came w the burner, so I decided to try out Wine (which I've never used, as I do mostly files and records - that kind of stuff)

I pretty much just burn ISOs (I love trying out new flavors of Nix) and back-ups

SO - I install Nero, which brings up a CrossOver pop-up, and, in turn, installs nicely (I thought)

NOW - I can't fine Nero, Wine, or open a CrossOver session - keep in mind that I never used any of these 3 things before -

Can't find the files - CLI says no such animals on my system

So I D/L another pgm, Dyne:bolic - for multi-media - figured I'd try it out and see what kind of burning it has available

Get the pop-up loading window - the white one that shows the grey loading bar & the .pgm name - hit "properties", which brings up the other window - the grey one that tells how much longer and what % is loaded

After a bazillion years, I get the grey window, and the save as option, which I do, and close out the window

Then, I decide to copy the sums and the PGP key - I do, and save that too

As I close out the window, I get the white pop-up telling me that I still have 8+ minuteds of load time left -

THEN the D/L manager tells me it's time to save - again - I save - it's the md5sums and the pgp - so I check the ISO, and get this:

cd001

mkisofs 2.0.3 -o ./dinebolic- dev .iso -J -R -udf -b isolinux/isolinux.bin -c isolinux/isolinux -c boot.cat -emul -boot (and so-on)

and, that's ALL that was in the ISO....

NOW - I'm really lost...

HELP - PLEASE - I'm falling and I can't get up !!!

PM

There must be a fake_windows inside your home, all the wine stuff is there.
Also, you can try out k3b, a burning program.

Remember that wine is made to 'translate' win programs, but when it comes to driving hardware, such as a burn session, i would not rely on it preferably...
