The Gimp and printing

When using the Gimp, and I want to print a file, I go to print, there are no error messages, but the file is not printed. It goes into limbo. On reboot, it prints. Can anyone tell me where it goes?
Other programs print directly, and the printer works fine.
I suspect Gremlins in my computer, but then I'm no expert

In the print menu make sure you setup the printer. Gimp, I think, uses it's own drivers and such. There should be a buuton on there to add it. I learned that when I installed Gentoo. I have to setup CUPS then set up Gimp.

Strange but worth a try.
