The Bat!

Could someone tell me how to import messages from The Bat. Files seem to be plain text, but Kmail fails to import them. Thanx.

What is the bat? And what is the exact error message you recieve? Could be that kmail just can't import the messages as its just doesn't understand possibly due to the bat making their messages in a unreadable format, etc.

How are you importing then? From across a network or from a floppy, backup media? What kind of text file? You know alot of Windows programs will have characters in the text files that cannot be read or understood with programs or Linux itself? Just a thought.

You might try doing a dos2unix on the file once you move it over to Linux to fix the end-of-line characters.
