tetex & dvipdfm
Hi Guys!
One of my colleagues @ work followed my fine
example and replaced Win2K on his workstation
with Linux (Mandrake 8.2 in his case) which wouldn't
work properly with our Novell-Servers (lost connection
and wouldn't reconnect 'til after reboot), even after
customizing the kernel.
I suggested he try Slack (which is what I am using with
no problems). Installed it smooth, works fine in general
... only his TeX-tool dvipdfm doesn't seem to work in
slack ... tex as such is installed properly (it appears,
I couldn't tell since I never used it), he can generate
DVI's, but he wants to be able to make pdfs ...
texi2dvi4a2ps (in the tetex package) doesn't like his tex
libraries and falls over his referencing style, and dvipdfm
keeps bitching about missing TMF and OMF files ...
Any hints greatly appreciated! ... *sigh* ... I have the guy
happy with Slack besides this problem...
Cheers,
Tink
