Question terminal screensaver

I'm looking to have linux run a screensaver on the terminal.
I downloaded a terminal screensaver from here

I need to know how to make linux run the screensaver when the system is idle. Anyone have a clue as how to do this?

Just one beforehand question... do you need an
actual screen-saver or are you looking at locking
the terminal?

Cheers,
Tink

from the site you have provided:
Quote:
from author : A seperate program or built in code which functions as a TSR, so that if you leave the computer for say 10 minutes, the program automatically starts up.
Author's comment: I've been playing around with this for a while, but haven't been able to figure out how to get keyboard input if the program is a bg process(child).
this is not the kind of thing to probably post to this kind of forum, since it does not look like a simple task. Either code something for the project mentioned, or wait until something is released - your request reminds me of the skiddie sites ("Please send me X crack/hack") Anyways, you could try posting a possible question/solution to the programming forum and see how they respond - but it will have to be more focused than this request.

looks like the author started working on something - if you feel the words "VERY BUGGY" don't worry you, then I guess you can modify this and use it in a script (startup, crontab, etc.)
