Terminal Program for Slack 9.0 ???
I have a couple of routers I'm toying around with, Cisco 2610 and a Siemens 5940. I have a Slack Box setup and would like to use it to console into the routers but I'm not too sure what program to use and how to set it up. Any suggested programs would be appreciated.
Presently using TeraTerm with XP, but would prefer to be using Slackware. Thanks |
i have always liked minicom.

Thanks arnold
Got into one, now just need to figure out how to use both my COM ports at the same time.
Thanks again |
man minicom, see "configuration"
|
minicom -s
Serial port set A /dev/cua0 enter enter Save setup as.. Cisco enter exit ctrl-alt-F2 login:**** Password:******* minicom -s Serial port set A /dev/cua1 enter enter Save setup as.. Siemens exit "Assuming you have the baud rate set to 9600 and Hardware Flow set to No." Then hit either ctrl-alt-F1 or ctrl-alt-F2 to switch between the two routers. And the next time you use minicom configuration "Cisco or Siemens" Thanks |
Any other programs out there ?
