Terminal cmd for starting Matlab M-file editor without starting matlab

Well I am wondering if there is a shell script for running the M-file editor without running Matlab as a whole.
The reason I am asking is that I am running dual head under KDE but without xinerama support and I want matlab to run on one screen and the editor on the other.

Thx in advance

I think you can use any text editor to do this job. Some of the editors even have highlight mode for m-script.

I figured that out too and was for a while using emacs for editing my matlab files.
But then I got hold of one more Monitor and finaly figured out how to get xinerama to work acceptable so now I am running tri-head kde with xinerama support and have therefor migrated back to the matlab built-in editor.

thx for your answer.

much appreciated :D
