I HAVE OP. LINUX RED HAT 8
I WANT TO USE TEL NET , ??? I DON;T NOW HOW USE IT & WHERE I GET IT ???? HELP ME PLSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

try typing:
telnet

if that doesnt work check to see if you have it installed:
rpm -qa | grep "telnet"
you should see something that says telnet-client

do you want to use the telnet client or server? If you're looking to use the telnet client, try:
$ whereis telnet
if you're trying to access it from elsewhere, try:
nmap localhost | egrep telnet
or:
ps umxa | egrep telnet

Also to add, telnet is insecure, use SSH. www.openssh.org
