TB Santa Cruz, ALSA, and Slackware

Problem fixed; do not reply

I have a Turtle Beach Santa Cruz sound card and Slackware 9. I am trying to install ALSA 0.9.3. I followed the directions from for the cs46xx driver. All modules except snd-cs46xx seem to load properly.

# lsmod
Module Size Used by Not tainted
snd-pcm-oss 40036 0 (autoclean) (unused)
snd-pcm 62816 0 (autoclean) [snd-pcm-oss]
snd-page-alloc 5260 0 (autoclean) [snd-pcm]
snd-timer 14724 0 (autoclean) [snd-pcm]
snd-mixer-oss 13816 0 (autoclean) [snd-pcm-oss]
snd 29124 0 (autoclean) [snd-pcm-oss snd-pcm snd-timer snd-mixer-oss]
soundcore 3780 0 (autoclean) [snd]

# modprobe snd-cs46xx

/lib/modules/2.4.20/kernel/sound/pci/cs46xx/snd-cs46xx.o: Hint: insmod errors can be caused by incorrect module parameters, including invalid IO or IRQ parameters.
You may find more information in syslog or the output from dmesg

I have successfully installed the ALSA drivers before on my computer, with Slack 8.1 and ALSA 0.9.0rc6, but it also failed with 8.1 and rc8. Also, when I first installed Slack 9.0, the kernel's native cs46xx driver worked out of the box, but preferring ALSA, I tried to install that. Strange...
