Question .tar.Z files - viewing in RH Linux v9

I have just downloaded a file with the extention .tar.Z Can anyone tell me how to view this file. When I double click it it tells me that Nautilus has no viewer installed capable of viewing this file. When I try to open with text editor it tells me it is a binary file?

Can someone please help.

in your console, try typing in the command:

it's a kde archive utility (should be installed by default if you installed kde), but it should run in gnome. i don't use gnome much, so i'm not sure what gui utility gnome has for viewing different archived formats.
