tar -cvzf file.xml file.tar.gz


Plz i can do it a big mistake.

i run in command line

tar -cvzf file.xml file.tar.gz

this line is obvious bad and it overwrite the file.xml.. Can i recovery data of file.xml before mistake ?..

I hope some one can help me

You can try this: http://recover.sourceforge.net/linux/

Just so you know, "tar -czvf file.tar.gz file.xml" would have done what you wanted...

EDIT: Provided the correct linke this time....
