Tapeware isn't detecting drive

I'm having some problems getting Tapeware 7 to detect my tape drive. I can back up to it with dump/restore and can check status and stuff with mt. And Tapeware will detect the tape drive when I installed Tapeware on Windows 2003, which is dual booting with Fedora Core 2(what I'm having the problems in). My tape drive is an internal Seagate DDS3, and I have an PCI SCSI adpatec, made by Adaptec. It uses the aic7xxx driver. The tape drive is /dev/st0. I've looked at the support information on Tapeware's site, but most of it just talked about troubleshooting it when neither Tapeware or *nix utilities could see the drive. Any ideas on what could be wrong?
