Take Xandros off the MBR
So about a few months ago I tried Xandros. I installed it on top of my Windows partition. Well, a few days ago I decided I didn't want it anymore, so I reimaged the partition with an image I had created earlier. So.... all the Linux files are gone and what not, but whenever I boot up, it still boots to Xandros as the default OS.
So I took a look at my boot.ini file, and it only showed Windows XP. So I'm thinking its in the MBR somewhere. any ideas? |
If you are trying to get back to having the windows boot loader: go here http://www.microsoft.com/resources/d...d_tro_ldau.asp

It is a job for booting up with a DOS floppy and type
fdisk /mbr If you want to to be snobbish, boot a Win2k or XP installation CD, drop into recovery console and type fixmbr |
