Take webcam shot and upload

Hi,

I want to have my webcam take a shot at regular intervals, upload the shot and keep a remote cache of the images taken so far. At the moment I'm using the 'webcam' program but although it uploads the shots fine, it doesn't keep an archive on the remote computer.

Does anyone know of anything or any way of configuring webcam that will do what I need?

Thanks,
KK

I've written a script for this in the past using gphoto. Once oyu have taken a shot and saved the image locally you can use scp or ftput to upload the file to the remote host.
