Hey everyone. I've read the manual on tabbing, and I'm able to get tabs to work if I drag the window with my middle mouse button, but I'm having a problem getting auto grouping to work.

I've setup my init file with "session.groupFile: ~/.fluxbox/groups".

I've used "xprop |awk '/WM_CLASS/{print $4}'" to determine that the window I want to group is XTerm.

I've created a "groups" file at "~/.fluxbox/groups", and the only thing in it is "XTerm", but for the life of me, my terminal windows are NOT grouping with each other....

What am I missing?

Figured it out. I should have been using $3 instead of $4 with the awk command. $4 was giving the wrong response.

Same here. Weird because $4 worked for a few months, but now I have to use $3. Btw, Thunderbird and Firefox both show as "Gecko" so I just need to put that in the groups file to join them. On the flip side, that is bad if I only one to group one of them, as fluxbox cannot tell the differnce between them.
