TAB Auto Completion
I will be taking a test on a SUSE build that doesn't have TAB Auto Completion turned on. I'm assuming this is a setting I can switch on somewhere? bashrc? sysctl? Any ideas?
Thanks.. |
bash-completion package needs to be installed.
if you do not have a copy on your media try http://www.caliban.org/bash/ |
That would be lame if they dont have it installed. I won't have access to the internet from the computer I'm on..

can't you ask the sysadmin to allow you to give them the binary so they can install it?

I couldn't find out how to map TAB to another key combination so I just did without it. Any idea? |
Very Strange.... I took my CLP test from Novell about a month ago, and I had my choice between using the NX client or a java based test environment. I specifically used the NX client one because of the tab auto-complete feature. Not sure I woulda survived without it. Anyway, no ideas on why it wouldn't have worked using the NX client. Hopefully you passed so you don't have to take it again without that feature :)

I thought the NX client worked w/ the JVM. We did have to download a JVM in order for it to work. |
