SystemRescueCD FAILS on ext3?

I have no clue what I did wrong, but on my older reiserfs system, all I had to do was put in the SystemRescueCD, then enter [mkdir backup], then enter [mount /dev/hda3 /root/backup], then enter[Partimage], then choose the partition to copy the image file to, then save the file as [/root/backup/linuxBackup.partimg.gz, then presto worked perfectly! Now when I use the damn thing, I go through all the same steps, but when I hit enter to execute the image backup, all it does is freeze, so I hit cancel, and it says the reason was that e2fsck found errors on the file system? What is that all about? My system works perfectly! Any help in getting this to work would be great. Thanks!
