System too slow
Hi:
I've been running an RH 6.2 server box for the last two years. It's a 433 Celeron with 256 MB RAM and 20 GB HDD.
It's been so slow for the last two weeks, specially Apache.
top says that I still have 139MB free, with 1.3% user CPU state, 2.8 System, 0.0 nice, and 96.1 Idle.
Recently, it reported 3MB free, but if I added the processes memory, it didn't sum up. I rebooted two days ago, and now I have the memory I specified before.
I need clues of what could be wrong, and where was that RAM that my box reported as being used and didn't show up in ps -aux

Hmm interesting.
Check to see if your log files have gotten unwieldly large, if you never set them up to be rotated.

Logs are 4 MB uncompressed, tops, and they're rotated and gziped every week
