System time too fast

Hi
I have a really strange problem on my server, as soon as the cpu works a bit, the system time is messing up. The hardware time is working fine though.

I have made a little real-time video to let you see the problem:

Any help would be appreciated

Tell us what distro & hardware. If it's a 64-bit machine, a common problem is that the clock runs exactly twice as fast as it should.

CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+
Motherboard: ASUS A8N-E
Chipset: NVIDIA nForce4 Ultra

Distro: Debian Sarge 3.1

It seems like the time speed ups are really random, sometimes fast and sometimes very fast.
What should I do?
