I am not sure which process, looking at PID, restarted the system. Please help me to get the root cause of this issue. If you need more information, please do let me know. Thanks in advance.

The log doesn't help in this case. Try enabling kdump. If it crashes, you'll get a crash dump to analyze. If it freezes, try pressing alt+sysrq+c to trigger a crash dump.

Thanks @AlucardZero for pointing to the rt direction. As I am a linux newbie, it too time to enable kdump. Finally I just enabled it 2day and after that there was a system reboot but unfortunately there was not relevant message/logs in /var/crash folder. Any reason for that.
Out of curiosity I just took at a look at cron log and mcelog file. The content in the mcelog file maybe provides the root cause of the system reboot. Could anybody take a look at the below log and let me know if this is cuasing the system reboot. Let me tell u that the CPU is brand new with 16 processor.

syslogd 1.4.1: restart (remote reception)

Hi,

I am using CentOS 5.5. I have same problem. However, my mcelog file doesn't point hardware errors (it doesn't point any errors).
Anybody can help me?
