System clock running too fast in fedora!!

hi ya:
I hv just download fedora core 4 X86_64 version. I install it on my AMD Athlonn 64 destop with Geforce 6200 video card. Every thing is fine except the annoying system clock speed, it is spinning too too fast, almost 2 times faster then the real time. I could ignore the time but the fast running also affect my system performance as well! When i hit on the keyboard, the letter i type will usually appear twice(as i only type it once!). And the mouse is too sensitive as well because of the fast running time.

I used SUSE 10.0 X86_64 before but it didnt come with problem like this.....

so.....................anyone can help me?

P.S: To many full stops cause by the fast spinning time!
LOL

Probably 2 unrelated problems. For the second one, my guess would be that you'll have to either devleop a lighter keyboard touch, or look for a configuration application for your desktop and make some kind of adjustment there.

The time problem is a known bug on AMD 64 motherboards. (Maybe all 64-bit boards). Presumably the clock is running at exactly twice the speed it should. I'm surprised if it didn't do it with Suse, but maybe they've figured out a work-around. There may be a real fix for this problem by now, but a sure work-around is to use a 'no-apic' kernel option. You can set that up in your Grub configuration file.
