SYSLOG-NG <defunct> process

I am running syslog-ng and was noticing that i had a few zombie process under it. My question is, is this a problem or is it something that is normal for syslog-ng?

30383 ? 00:00:00 syslog-ng
30384 pts/0 00:00:00 sh <defunct>
30385 pts/0 00:00:00 sh <defunct>
30386 pts/0 00:00:00 sh <defunct>
30387 pts/0 00:00:00 sh <defunct>
