syslog-ng

What are your thoughts on syslog-ng? It appears to give added functionality to regular ole syslog. I would like to use syslog-ng as a collection point for log files from multiple servers.
Is this a good idea or do you know of a better program to facilitate this.
Thanks!

Yeah absolutely, it's a great syslog server for multiple systems, you can so easily filter recoreds into different places and so much stuff that a standard syslog server just hasn't got a clue about. We use this within our data centre to monitor everything in sight that uses syslog.
