synergy problem two linux client and server

Hey all,

Having trouble with synergy. Using an ArchLinux server and Ubuntu client.
i have the config files set up correctly (i am almost certain).
I start the synergy on the Arch box with synergys -f and when i start synergyc on the ubuntu box, the Arch box notices the connection but i still have no control.

here is what i get in the server terminal

Which end are you trying to control from?

When you say you have no control, do you mean you can't move the cursor from one screen to the other?

Are you using the same versions of synergys and synergyc?

What are the contents of your config files?
