Synergy client keeps losing connectivity

I have two Raspberry Pis that drive the two side monitors and I have Synergy setup so I can move the mouse across. Problem is, every now and then they lose connectivity, this is really annoying because I then have to SSH in and restart the client. Why does it do this, and is there a way I can make it stop? There is a --restart option, but it does not seem to work. It does not actually restart. What's weird is when it happens, it happens to both. The server itself sometimes dies too, I have to do a kill -9, nothing else works.

It seems to trigger when it's been a while since the side monitors were used, and will happen when I go to use one of them, any typing I do will be really slow, then they just both die. Really annoying. I then have to screw around trying to get all the services restarted on all 3 machines. I could write a watchdog script, but since the service actually stays up (it just stops working) there is not really an easy way to detect that it died.

According to the synergy forums, where a similar problem was recently resolved, it may have to do with an out of date plugin in your synergy directory. They (the posters on the forum) included a surprising amount of technical data both on the event....

which on its face, looks like a replay of your issue.

That does seem to be what's happening. Quite annoying. I just installed this not too long ago though so it's latest. Where would I find the logs to confirm if that's really what's happening?
