I have a Slackware 10.2 system running, and I've got it more or less working the way I want it to

I am looking for a program that will allow me to connect to a remote FTP location and synchronize files from there to a specified local folder. I have already downloaded, compiled and installed gFTP which is a great FTP tool, but I don't know if it has a "synchronize" feature.

Essentially, I'd like something that checks my local and remote locations for differences and syncs down from the remote site ( rather than syncing from local to remote ).

rsync is specifically designed to do this. You can run it over ssh for security. It's included with slackware so you should have it installed (if not, it's in the 'n' section).
