Synchronized Network Audio Playback
I'm interested in a network audio system that will allow synchronized playback across multiple machines (e.g., audio streamed from my Gentoo box to a laptop running FreeBSD, heard to play simultaneously).
Is this possible? Do let me know if my writing isn't clear as the concept of a NAS is simple yet most appear to be without the element of "synchronized playback" which is essential to my posting. |
I believe any of the audio stream servers (like icecast) do this, you could also look at ones that support multicast.
