I installed SuSe 8.2 Personal edition last night on my Celeron (1.1 mHz). Installed fine and seems to work OK. I then tried to get Evolution to sync with my wife's Visor using Gnome Pilot. It keeps telling me that it sets up the visor. The instruction is to push the hotsync button. When I push it, I hear a beep and the PDA's screen says its looking for the machine. Eventually, the Visor times out and gives me the message that the computer couldn't be found.

It seems that Evolution would be a good Desktop to sync to. I am able to get it to work in other areas (set up weather and news, etc), but can't seem to get this to work.

Any thoughts?

check the gpilot settings. if the port is /dev/pilot change it to the actual port or make a symlink ln -s /dev/<port> /dev/pilot
