Synaptic Weirdness

The latest version of Synaptic, version 0.42 released on or around August 11, 2003, when launched from the console prints the following message to the console:

"strange things are going on in the world"

Anyone else see this? I'm thinking it could be a phrase left in by one of the programmers as a debugging aid which he forgot to remove (I prefer to use something less ominous such as "here i am").

Talking

I got it too... should I be worried? Or, just annoyed?

I reported this "issue" to one of the Synaptic programmers and it is now gone from the latest version.
