Synaptic modifications
In PC Linux, when I try to select Wine for installation, it automatically creates a list of applications that needs to be upgraded. This list also includes applications like the 50 MB Adobe reader, which is NOT presently installed in the system, and so has to be downloaded in the first place.
(How) Can I individually select the packages that will be upgraded? |
A related question : I have set Synaptic to retain the downloaded packages post installation. Where are these packages stored? If I want to reuse the same packages in another PCLinux installation (same version), can I do that (by adding the path to those rpms in the synaptic repositories)?
