symlink

I am trying to sync my palm pilot with RH 6.0....

How do I create a symlink to -s /dev/usb/ttyUSB1 /dev/pilot? When I create it, will it be a one time creation or will I have to create a symlink to it everytime?
Thank you very much for your help.

i'm confused, you've already given yourself the answer.... "ln -s /dev/usb/ttyUSB1 /dev/pilot" this will not persist after boot. to do that you need to edit /etc/devfsd.conf

OK, I was able to sync my palm. But I wasn't able to edit /etc/devfsd.conf. I can't find the file devfsd.conf in /etc.

Little by little I will understand it all. Thanks for your help.
