Symantec pcAnywhere not installing on RHEL 5.2
The "install wizard" would not invoke with the bundled Gnome 1.4.2-GCJ-compat. we get:
[root@new-host Symantec pcAnywhere CrossPlatform]# java -jar SetupLinuxMac.jarThe wizard cannot continue because of the following error: could not load wizard specified in /wizard.inf (104) WARNING: could not delete temporary file /tmp/ismp001/3257725 WARNING: could not delete temporary file /tmp/ismp001/9752259 [root@new-host Symantec pcAnywhere CrossPlatform]# Used RHN to install the Sun JVM (1.6.0-sun-1.6.0_11) The "install wizard" would run to a point where it returns: "Cannot find JVM" !!! It's installed and running, java -version and javac -version see it and return the proper info. I know this seems silly (to want pcAnywhere on a RHEL server) but it's an "inherited" problem. Any insight would be helpful. |

Searched in vain to solve this. The "Norton forum" seems useless. Has anyone successfully installed pcAnywhere on RHEL? |
