Symantec pcAnywhere not installing on RHEL 5.2

The "install wizard" would not invoke with the bundled Gnome 1.4.2-GCJ-compat. we get:

[root@new-host Symantec pcAnywhere CrossPlatform]# java -jar SetupLinuxMac.jarThe wizard cannot continue because of the following error: could not load wizard specified in /wizard.inf (104)
WARNING: could not delete temporary file /tmp/ismp001/3257725
WARNING: could not delete temporary file /tmp/ismp001/9752259
[root@new-host Symantec pcAnywhere CrossPlatform]#

Used RHN to install the Sun JVM (1.6.0-sun-1.6.0_11)

The "install wizard" would run to a point where it returns: "Cannot find JVM" !!!

It's installed and running, java -version and javac -version see it and return the proper info.

I know this seems silly (to want pcAnywhere on a RHEL server) but it's an "inherited" problem. Any insight would be helpful.

Searched in vain to solve this. The "Norton forum" seems useless.

Has anyone successfully installed pcAnywhere on RHEL?

You must remove the version of java that is installed with RHEL the download and follow the instructions for installing it from the Java web-site.
