Sylpheed Gmail error

Hi,

I've been using Sylpheed Claws 0.9.12 to send and receive email with my Gmail account successfully for months now.

Just recently, though, I've been getting an error whenever I send email through Gmail's SMTP server. The messages seem to go through (they appear in Gmail's archived outbox and they arrive at the desired email address), but Sylpheed thinks they don't and they sit in my outbox rather than being sent to the "sent" folder. This is creating a lot of extra emails being sent and extra busy work on my end.

Here is the error message as it appears in Sylpheed's log:
Code:
[14:36:26] ESMTP> [USERID]
[14:36:26] ESMTP< 334 UGFzc3dvcmQ6
[14:36:26] ESMTP> [PASSWORD]
[14:36:26] ESMTP< 235 2.7.0 Accepted
[14:36:26] SMTP> MAIL FROM:<dallasbluth@gmail.com>
[14:36:26] SMTP< 250 2.1.0 OK
[14:36:26] SMTP> RCPT TO:<dallasbluth@gmail.com>
[14:36:26] SMTP< 250 2.1.5 OK
[14:36:26] SMTP> DATA
[14:36:26] SMTP< 354 Go ahead
[14:36:26] SMTP> . (EOM)
[14:36:27] SMTP< 250 2.0.0 OK 1112211319
[14:36:27] SMTP> QUIT
** Error occurred while sending the message.
An ideas?

I have the same problem. My log is like your log. I think that I have found the problem but not the solution:
This is a log (using another server)

[14:17:40] ESMTP< 250-PIPELINING
[14:17:40] ESMTP< 250-SIZE 10485760
[14:17:40] ESMTP< 250 8BITMIME
[14:17:40] ESMTP> MAIL FROM:<my-address@wanadoo.fr> SIZE=350
[14:17:40] SMTP< 250 Ok
[14:17:40] SMTP> RCPT TO:<my-address@wanadoo.fr>
[14:17:40] SMTP< 250 Ok
[14:17:40] SMTP> DATA
[14:17:40] SMTP< 354 End data with <CR><LF>.<CR><LF>
[14:17:40] SMTP> . (EOM)
[14:17:40] SMTP< 250 Ok: queued as 48A054C00EC2
[14:17:40] SMTP> QUIT
[14:17:40] SMTP< 221 Bye

The log is the same execpt the 221 Bye. I think that because gmail doesn't say 221, sylpheed-claws thinks that an error append (It false, because I recive the mail).

Yeah, I some someone on Sylpheed's message board post a similar suggestion. It's sounds probable to me since the mail is going through anyways.

I've emailed Gmail a few times and mentioned this possible problem but . . . (big surprise) . . . no response!

Do you think something can be done on the Sylpheed end, such as not requiring that final line? I'm not a good enough programmer to attend such a fix...
