Sylpheed duplicate messages filtering

I receive identical messages on two accounts. Is there a way to filter them separately (all headers are the same)? using Sylpheed v3.4

thanks.

This might or might not be possible, it depends on how identical the messages are.

If both messages look like this it might be very hard to do:
Code:
From: some.user@some.address
To: user_01@your_address, user_02@your.address
Subject: some identical header
Date: Wed, 08 Jan 2014 12:39:52 +0100
X-Mailer: Claws Mail 3.7.6 (GTK+ 2.20.1; x86_64-pc-linux-gnu)

Content is the same as well
It is possible to put these messages into separate mail folders, the down side would be that you end up with both messages put into 2 mail folders. You might be able to use the delete duplicate messages (in selected folder) option to clean up the folders, but that depends on how identical the messages are.

If the To: field has one entry (say: To: user_01@your_address and the other mail To: user_02@your_address it is possible.

BTW: What do you mean by filter?
- Delete one of the two?
- Put each mail in an individual folder?
- Forward one, store the other?
- ???

unfortunately, they are completely identical. (the Mail/files are bit identical).
I need to process (perl script, then move to another dir) only one of those, and mark the other one as read.

I doubt it if this is possible using Sylpheed. You might be able to write a script to do this.

Maybe too obvious, but would it be possible to unsubscribe from one of the services that mails you this info? That seems the easiest way out.

thanks, I'll try making script.
I had considered unsubscribing. but the emails are somewhat important, so redundancy is required.

If redundancy is required then there isn't a problem to start with
