did you even try asking sybase?? http://www.sybase.com/linux

yes i did. But it said its Enterprise RDBMS.So, i thought people who have already used Sybase on linux woul be helpful.

That response didn't make much sense. How is Linux and Enterprise
mutually exclusive?

It does not mean linking Enterprise and linux. For us to use Sybase on linux, we need to have a cop which we have to buy. Rather all these, Ijust wanted opinions of People who have already run sybasse on linux

Your topic is "will Sybase run on linux". Sybase website explicitly states
that, they're quite happy to sell it to you. And the you said "But it's
Enterprise System"...
