Switching from Gnome to KDE on all users from root

Im having major issue's with Gnome in Red Hat 9 on a user. I already have KDE running on root, but Im sort of stumped on how to switch the user to KDE without logging into that user. When attempting to log into that user, it does a nasty screen full of errors saying that the Gnome panel has failed and etc. Im sure theres a way to do this..and Im eitehr to impatient or blind to figure it out.

Please help a n00b!

Go into the user's home directory and find a file called '.Xclients-default'.

Change the line that says 'exec gnome-session' to 'exec startkde'

Or stay in love with Gnome/use Fluxbox. lol
