Switching from Gnome to KDE
Hi
Just installed RH 9.0 on my Thinkpad. During installation selected both Gnome and KDE but for some reason it always boots up with Gnome. How do I switch to KDE ?
Thanks

Do you start with graphical login? If so, you can choose KDE frm ne of the menus you have when logging in.

if u dont start with a graphical login, go into your /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc file and there should be a line at the bottom,
"exec gnome" or something like that, change it to "exec kde," or whatever binary starts kde.

If you look at the bottom of the screen if using graphical login you will see a Menu that says Session click on this and you will have a choice between Gnome or KDE, then choose KDE and then put in your user name and password it should open into KDE.

In RH8 theres the Desktop Switching Tool which is located in Start Menu -> Extras -> System Settings. Might be there.
