swfdec can't play flv?

I have installed swfdec 8.4 on my sh4 platform. When I try to play .flv files, I get:

SWFDEC: ERROR: swfdec_resource.c(244): swfdec_resource_stream_target_parse: no decoder found for format
SWFDEC: ERROR: swfdec_as_context.c(168): swfdec_as_context_abort: abort: This is not a Flash file

According to swfdec wiki this player should be able to play flv videos..

How to enable flv support? What are the configure options for that?

Hmm does your application have codecs that need to be installed first?

Have you installed them?

I. e. for example for MPlayer (take a look, it's quite good) you have to download and install its specific codecs pack into a specified location in order for it to be able to play most common movie formats. It almost looks like you are missing the correct / complete codecs for your video player application.
