"k"swaret install

Hi! I am running slackware 10.2, kde 3.4.2 I tried to install kswaret, everything went fine during compilation and make, but when I enter "make install" it comes back with "/usr/bin/ginstall -c -m 4755 bin/kswaret /usr/local/bin" right away and exits the installation, and of course swaret is not installed! why? txs

Are you trying to install swaret (i.e. the command line tool) or kswaret (the graphical frontend of swaret), because the command you posted refers to kswaret.
If you want to install swaret d/l the package from here and use installpkg to install it.

It might have something to do with the project not being developed for a couple of years. It is not uncommon to have difficulty installing very old source packages on newer systems due to library changes and updates.

It's swaret that does the job, the others (kswaret, qtswaret etc) are just frontends for those who don't like command line
