Unhappy suse yast rpm problem

Good morning,

I tried to update my suse 9.3 yesterday with yast- online update.
The download works - then it does something called 'delta' and when the packages should be installed I get the error

ERROR(InstTarget:E_RpmDB_subprocess failed)

for each package.

Then I tried to install a new rpm by hand using rpm -ivh and rpm -Uvh *.rpm but then I get 'segmentation error/fault'

Any idea how to fix this ?

Try >rpm --rebuilddb
Maybe your rpm database is corrupt.
